Asmod Khakurel

Asmod Khakurel is a distinguished scholar with a profound commitment to community development and business solutions. He specializes in Mathematics, Economics, and Computer Science and graduated from Kenyon College. During the undergraduate journey, Asmod studied a year-long study abroad at Oxford University. As a Davis Project for Peace winner, Asmod completed a community development project during his early college days. After that, Asmod led a US-based nonprofit called Reinstalling Hope. As a director, he launched an internship program for US and UK university students to teach in Nepal. His other initiation, a fellowship program, has helped a handful of young, motivated, and hardworking high school graduates to prestigious US universities. Currently, Asmod is working on running a business in Nepal, bridging the Himalayas' barriers to connect with China. Experienced from working at Morningstar, a financial service company, and Ohio Innovation Fund, Asmod has gathered a wealth of knowledge and motivation to start a business in Nepal. His professional experience spans notable roles, such as Analyst at Morningstar and Venture Capital Intern at Ohio Innovation Fund, where he utilized advanced financial modeling and data analysis to enhance business operations and investment strategies. Asmod Khakurel is based in Gambier, Ohio, where he continues influencing his local and academic communities through his innovative approaches to education, technology, and finance. His work has been recognized with awards like the Davis Peace Project grant and featured on Morningstar’s website and the company’s LinkedIn.
